The older dolphins who try to protect their young are slaughtered for their meat. So many dolphins are killed - the water turns red with their blood. Dolphin shows fuel this industry of capturing and killing dolphins. And yet, most facilities will tell you that their dolphins were bred "in captivity". Truth of the matter is- there are very few "real" breeding facilities of dolphins. There are none in Indonesia where the dolphins from that "Wonderful World of Dolphins and Sea Lions" in Metrowalk come from. Incidentally, dolphins "bred in captivity" initially started from taking dolphins from their natural habitat, from their families, and then completely depriving them of their freedom.
