Why Is The Philippines Poor?

THE DIFFERENCE

The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country:

This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt , that are more than 2000 years old, but are poor.

On the other hand, Canada , Australia & New Zealand , that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries, and are rich.

The difference between poor & rich countries does not reside in the available natural resources.

Japan has a limited territory, 80% mountainous, inadequate for agriculture & cattle raising, but it is the second world economy. The country is like an immense floating factory, importing raw materials from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.

Another example is Switzerland, which does not plant cocoa but has the best chocolate in the world. In its little territory they raise animals and plant the soil during 4 months per year. Not enough, they produce dairy products of the best quality! It is a small country that transmits an image of security, order & labor, which made it the world's strongest, safest place.

Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference.

Race or skin color are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.

What is the difference then? The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education & the culture & flawed tradition.

On analyzing the behavior of the people in rich & developed countries, we find that the great majority follow the following principles in their lives:

1. Ethics, as a basic principle.
2. Integrity.
3. Responsibility.
4. Respect to the laws & rules.
5. Respect to the rights of other citizens.
6. Work loving.
7. Strive for savings & investment.
8. Will of super action.
9. Punctuality.
10. and of course...Discipline

In poor countries, only a minority follow these basic principles in their daily life.

The Philippines is not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us. In fact, we are supposedly rich in natural resources.

We are poor because we lack the correct attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich & developed societies.

If you do not forward this message nothing will happen to you. Your pet will not die, you will not be fired, you will not have bad luck for seven years, and also, you will not get sick or go hungry.

But those may happen because of your lack of discipline & laziness
,
your love for intrigue and politics, your indifference to saving for the future, your stubborn attitude.

If you love your country, let this message circulate so that many Filipinos could reflect about this, & CHANGE, ACT!

And for dessert . . .Beside SM north Edsa The Block * sa gilid papuntang main*They have Dark Chocolate cakes, and many more. Thats right for the budget.

Its 11 am On a Sunday morning and me and my mom were late. Were going to meet up with some friends from Pinoy Frugal,Our mission is to tour around Ongpin St. Look for cheap but good resto's there. With a little help from our New Friend "Alvin" who lives in Ongpin Duh! Gave us a tour. Tnx Alvin. Anyways I'd like to share with you what happend with our Food Trip.

We were so hungry at that time and ordered a lot of food. They have fresh seafood, we

had some Calamares, Tofu, Vegetables, Fried Frog Legs * tastes like chicken* and of course Fried Rice!

The Best you gotta try this, they also have Spring rolls, Kikiams etc.

They have this cool coffee makers, it turns the coffee upside down.

This bakery has been around for decades.

You can smell the Aroma of freshly baked pastries

even if your'e outside. Yum Yum!

They have this vegetable dimsum and different kinds of Noodle Soups.

Its not your'e typical Bakery, All i can say is they're unique

in terms of presenting their cakes, we like it,its very colorful.

They also have breads like the ones from breadtalk but way

cheaper. Different Varieties of Pastries.

I was Lucky enough to Board this Ship or whatever you call it before they retire it. They're selling cheap books, charity work. The first time I heard about this is on TV Winnie Cordero interviewed some of the crews on the ship. When I first stepped on the ship I saw volunteers from different countries but most of them are from the U.S. They have lots of books ranging from different categories. Its like going inside National Bookstore. Im not sure when exactly they're going to retire the ship but I hope they can help more children and promote/teach how important reading is. I bought a lot of books spending not more than 1,000 pesos. I think I bought around 5-7 books all in all, believe me it cant get any cheaper than that!.

The older dolphins who try to protect their young are slaughtered for their meat. So many dolphins are killed - the water turns red with their blood. Dolphin shows fuel this industry of capturing and killing dolphins. And yet, most facilities will tell you that their dolphins were bred "in captivity". Truth of the matter is- there are very few "real" breeding facilities of dolphins. There are none in Indonesia where the dolphins from that "Wonderful World of Dolphins and Sea Lions" in Metrowalk come from. Incidentally, dolphins "bred in captivity" initially started from taking dolphins from their natural habitat, from their families, and then completely depriving them of their freedom. Nothing that dolphin show organizers say will make this practice any more ETHICAL than pimping animals taken from the wild for the sake of making a buck. -The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) "If you care about dolphins, please don't watch dolphin shows."

Protect urself from Abusive MMDA officers!!

This is a MUST read especially during this Christmas Season. Protect yourselves especially against abusive MMDA officers. Have your drivers read this too. Best also to PRINT AND KEEP A COPY OF THIS IN YOUR CAR FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.TOOLS AGAINST MMDA OFFICERS.

If any of these abuses seem familiar to you, call either the MMDA hotline (136) or call the METRO BASE at 0920 9389861 or 0920 9389875 and ask for an Inspectorate. They will send inspectors to the place where these MMDA officers are extorting, even while you are arguing out of your apprehension.

1.MMDA officers are not allowed to group together in order to apprehend. They are not even allowed to stand together in groups of 2 or more. The only time they are allowed to work together is forspecial operations (probably when they apprehend groups of buses for smoke belching)

2. Swerving IS NOT a traffic violation. Moving one lane to the left or right is not swerving, no matter where on the road you do it. And it is even less of a violation when you do it with a signal. Swervingis defined as shifting 2 or more lanes very quickly. So you can argue your way out of this, and call the Metro Base for help.

3. Sadly, using the yellow lane is a traffic violation and will get you a ticket. However, buses are really not allowed to go out of the yellow lane, so if you see selective apprehension of private carsonly, you may complain.

4. MMDA has confirmed that your license MAY NOT BE CONFISCATED at a traffic apprehension. The only time they can do so is if you are part of an accident, or it is your third violation and you have not settled your fines yet. They are only allowed to give you a ticket, which you can contest. He recommends actually receiving the ticket in some instances, so that you can report the officer who did it.

5. Also, you are free to ask any of these officers for their "mission order", which is written by their supervisor. If they apprehend you for a violation that is not in their mission order for the day, youcan report them and they will receive disciplinary action.

So go out and fight for your rights if and when the occasion arises!

Beta Days palang kilala ko na c Leic naalala ko pa na nagpapa-lvl kami sa anolians nung beta times FREE PA RO NUN! gamit pa nya ung wiz nya na Gigler nasa UT pa cya nun, ang suot nya palagi sa char nya naka Spiky tapos naka Goblini Mask.

Nakilala ko cya sa Aldebaran kasi palagi cya nagpapa HEAL saken!( dead kasi! )HAHA!! and then gumawa cya ng Resbak Guild.Minsan suot nya walang Headgear tapos palagi lng naka Cigar un yung Japormsng Gigler character nya.

At First sumali ako sa Resbak guild GM nun c Boiling Point ung Pari pa ni Leic.then what happend was na PIRATE ako nila Hein sa SteelWolves, Ive been with SW for a while naging GM ako doon Kjeldoran Division. But At some point in time khit na iba na guild ko at hinde na Resbak naging close kami ni Leic, kasi mabait cyang tao, madalas magkausap kami sa Phone and i remember he was good at imitating voices of different characters, sobrang wala kaming ginawa kundi magusap sa telepono mahina na ung 5 oras! HAHA kung ano ano pinaguusapan namen khit anong maisip namen walang pa tweetums effect basta straight to the point conversations.

Minsan na c-chismaks pa nga kami eh pero hinahayaan lng namen, One of theBest memories is nakilala ko c Leic madami akong natutunan sa kanya mgaLessons in Life Ika nga!

After non sabe nya saken gagawa daw cya ng GUild Armada daw ang name, at first hinde ako nakasali agad kasi nasa SW pa ako noon and GM ako, nung time na nawala na SW nag disband na saka ako naka sali sa Armada. SObrang Thankful ako sa Armada naalala ko pa dati na HACK DELETE Ako!! ng EX BOYFRIEND KO! and cla Leic at Sheila and ibang members ng Armada tumulong sakenpara maka recover. Malaking pasasalamat ko sa knila THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET.

When it comes to sieges palaging maganda siege ng armada especially nung wala pang allies ang Armada. Walang Coals pa nun at talagang MAG ISA lng ang Armada when it comes to Woe, I remember we had 7 GM'sc Leic, Marlou, Melganis, Demidart, Allan, Slumber and Takawiz.

Hinde pa ako Admiral non hamak na isang member lang ako dati, pero cguro nakita ni Leic na dedicated ako sa Armada talaga kasi palagi akong present sa siege, and im always the sancer and protector of the Emperium. Matagal naren akong Priest simula ng naglaro ako ng Ragnarok priest tlaga ang character ko beta days pa yon. Minsan Warper ako pag siege.
